Path to Trades Program

Mentoring Tomorrow’s Workforce

At ENPAQ, LLC, we’re proud to be part of the Path to Trades Program—an innovative learning initiative launched by Ritenour High School and Ameresco, Inc. in October 2024. Designed to introduce students to the world of skilled trades, this program is focused on bridging the gap between the classroom and career paths that don’t always require a four-year degree but offer long-term growth, stability, and impact.
In a recent Lunch N’ Learn and Office Tour Event, we welcomed nine Ritenour High School freshmen to our headquarters. The goal? To spark curiosity, create engagement, and offer students a first-hand look at what a career in the environmental consulting and trades industry looks like.

What We Shared:

Our Journey: How founders James and Tony met as freshmen ourselves, became best friends, and eventually launched a business together in the environmental industry.

What We Do: A deep dive into the role of an Environmental Consultant, and how we protect communities from environmental hazards like asbestos, lead, and mold.

Why It Matters: We walked students through real-world environmental risks and health impacts, helping them understand the importance of our work.

Hands-On Learning: Students got to see the tools of the trade—containment setups, testing instruments, and how we use them in real fieldwork.

Career Paths: We wrapped up with a discussion on what success can look like in this industry and the many avenues students can pursue right out of high school.

Why It Matters:

The students were curious, engaged, and asked fantastic questions—a clear sign that this kind of exposure has real impact. For many of them, this was their first introduction to the environmental industry, and seeing their interest grow as we spoke was the most rewarding part of the experience.

Our Mission:

We believe knowledge is power, and through mentorship, education, and hands-on experience, we can inspire a new generation of highly skilled, purpose-driven professionals. This program gives students a path to meaningful careers—and a new way to think about their future.
